Joan M. Voss was elected a Bergen County commissioner in 2011 and is the board's chair pro tempore. She was elected to the New Jersey General Assembly from District 38 in 2003, served four terms on the Fort Lee Borough Council and taught high school in Fort Lee for 41 years.
