Background for Michaelle C. Solages

Michaelle Solages, of Elmont, was elected to the Assembly in 2012 and is the first person of Haitian descent to serve in the New York State Legislature. She chairs the Assembly Local Governments Committee and the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus.
