Background for Samra G. Brouk

Samra Brouk has represented the 55th Senate District in Monroe County since 2021, the first Black woman from Upstate New York elected to the State Senate, and chairs the Senate Mental Health Committee. She previously served two years as a Peace Corps health educator in rural Guatemala.
