U.S. Representative for New York's 3rd District, first elected in 2016 and returned in a 2024 special election; he serves on the Ways and Means Committee and co-chairs the Problem Solvers Caucus. He was mayor of Glen Cove (1994–2001) and Nassau County Executive (2002–2009).
