Voted against sales tax cut and reserve-funded tax relief

In February 2026 the Legislature rejected, 7-10, a resolution to lower the county sales tax from 8% to 7.75% and use $2 million of the unappropriated fund balance to lower property taxes; the 10 Republicans present voted against it.
