Opposes a state cap on school budget increases

Answered "Against" on the Citizens Count 2026 issue survey question: "Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?" Written answer: “A straight up cap on local taxes, without addressing the increasing mandates will require the district to cap what is offered in general education. Music, language and art have been historically the only "electives" that get cut.”
