Opposes the Education Freedom Account program

Answered "Against" on the Citizens Count 2026 issue survey question: "Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?" Written answer: “NO! Public tax dollars belong in public schools, not in the pockets of private entities. Further, School costs are not linear, so EFAs ARE CURRENTLY heavily damaging the most in-need schools, causing downward spirals (example: Sanborn).”
