Opposes the Education Freedom Account program

Answered "Against" on the Citizens Count 2024 issue survey question: "Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?" Written answer: “Not in it's current form. There is a general lack of transparency to the program. The money flowing to EFAs is draining revenue to local public schools. Formulas to determine income eligibility and moving in an increasingly unsustainable direction.”
