Opposes a state cap on school budget increases

Answered "Against" on the Citizens Count 2026 issue survey question: "Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?" Written answer: “No. I do not support a state-imposed cap on local school district budgets. Every community has different needs, and local voters—not Concord—should have the primary responsibility for deciding how much to invest in their schools.”
