Opposes a state cap on school budget increases

Answered "Against" on the Citizens Count 2026 issue survey question: "Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?" Written answer: “I oppose a one-size-fits-all state-mandated cap on local school budgets. Communities have different enrollment, infrastructure, staffing, special education, and educational needs, and local voters should retain the ability to make those decisions.”
