Opposes a state cap on school budget increases

Answered "Against" on the Citizens Count 2026 issue survey question: "Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?" Written answer: “I support HB1300. It puts the school tax cap question to a vote at the general election, where far more people turn out - and it takes a 3/5 majority to pass.”
