Opposes the Education Freedom Account program

Answered "Against" on the Citizens Count 2026 issue survey question: "Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?" Written answer: “Education Freedom Accounts could draw funds away from public education. Eligibility for these funds should come with an income limit. Public education is required to be transparent and accountable.”
