Pledges to push for updated D.C. elevator safety codes

Frevert said the candidacy grew out of a September 2025 elevator accident in the building that severely injured a neighbor, and that the tenant association has worked with the Department of Buildings, Councilmember Nadeau and the Office of the Tenant Advocate on elevator safety.
