A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the City of Shelby for the purpose of the general operation of the Shelby Parks Department, that the county auditor estimates will collect $63,641 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $18 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for a period of 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.5-mill, 5-year property tax for the general operation of the Shelby Parks Department, estimated to collect $63,641 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
