What this office does: If voters approve creating it, the five-member charter study commission examines the township's form of government and may recommend changes, which would go back to voters.

Nonpartisan. The five top vote-getters serve only if voters approve Hopewell Township Public Question 1. Vanessa Sandom asked to be removed from the ballot (MercerMe, Aug. 31); a court challenge to five candidates' petitions was dismissed. Goerner, Klopfer, Markulec and Matteo run together as "Chart New Course."

Challengers are listed first and incumbents last; otherwise candidates appear in ballot order. The Gist does not rank, rate or endorse candidates. Only positions backed by a cited source are shown; 0 issues covered in this race.
