City of Langley Proposition 1: property tax levy lid lift for city services and technology ($1.01 → $1.66 per $1,000)
The Langley City Council adopted Resolution 877 concerning a proposition to provide for continual governmental services and update the City's operating and electronic technology to better serve the community. This proposition would permanently increase the City's regular property tax rate by $0.648544721 to a total authorized rate of $1.66 per $1,000 of assessed value for collection in 2027 and annually thereafter, and provide for an exemption for senior citizens and persons with disabilities under RCW 84.36.381. Port District of South Whidbey Island Proposition 1: levy increase for port facilities ($0.109 → $0.169 per $1,000)
The Board of Commissioners of the Port District of South Whidbey Island adopted Resolution No. 2026-06 concerning a property tax increase to renovate and modernize District facilities. This measure would authorize the District to increase its levy rate by six cents (from $0.109 to $0.169) per $1,000 of assessed valuation for collection in 2027. Thereafter, such dollar amount will be used as the base to compute limitations for subsequent years as allowed by Chapter 84.55 RCW. Should this proposition be approved?
