Initiative Measure No. IP26-645: repeal the 9.9% tax on income over $1 million; prohibit income taxes
Initiative Measure No. IP26-645 concerns state and local taxes. This measure would repeal a 9.9% tax on annual individual income over $1,000,000; prohibit taxes measured by individual income and taxes on individual income or the receipt of individual income; and define "income." This measure would decrease funding for public K-12 education, higher education (including universities and community colleges), and human services (primarily healthcare). Should this measure be enacted into law?
Initiative Measure No. IL26-001: parents' rights in public schools (restore Initiative 2081 as enacted)
Initiative Measure No. IL26-001 concerns parental rights relating to their children in public school. This measure would repeal amendments to a statute listing certain rights of parents and guardians of public-school children and re-enact the law as it was originally enacted by Initiative to the Legislature 2081. Should this measure be enacted into law?
Initiative Measure No. IL26-638: K-12 girls' sports eligibility and biological sex verification
Initiative Measure No. IL26-638 concerns participation in athletics at K-12 schools. This measure would prohibit students it defines as "biologically male" from competing in certain school athletic activities intended for female students only. It would require verification of biological sex by students' healthcare providers. Should this measure be enacted into law?
Wahkiakum County: countywide emergency medical services levy renewal (up to $0.40 per $1,000, six years)
If approved by voters, this proposition would authorize Wahkiakum County to levy a regular property tax at a rate not to exceed forty cents per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation on all taxable property within the district. The levy proceeds would be used to fund operational and equipment costs as more fully described in Wahkiakum County Resolution No. 87-26 and RCW 84.52.069. The levy would be authorized for a six-year period with collection beginning in 2027. Qualifying seniors, veterans, and disabled persons would be eligible for exemption from the levy under RCW 84.36.381. Should this levy be:
Fire Protection District No. 2 (Skamokawa): emergency medical services levy renewal (up to $1.00 per $1,000, ten years)
If approved by voters, this proposition would authorize Wahkiakum County Fire District #2 (Skamokawa) to levy a regular property tax at a rate not to exceed one dollar per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation on all taxable property within the district. The levy proceeds would be used to fund operational and equipment costs as more fully described in Fire District #2 Resolution #2026-01 and RCW 84.52.069. The levy would be authorized for a ten-year period, with collection beginning in 2027; and would be subject to RCW chapter 84.55 limitations on levy increases in years two through ten, which are linked to the Consumer Price Index. The final year's levy dollar amount would be used to compute limitations for subsequent levies as provided by RCW Chapter 84.55. Qualifying seniors, veterans, and disabled persons would be eligible for exemption from the levy under RCW 84.36.381. Should this levy be:
