Initiative Measure No. IP26-645: repeal the 9.9% tax on income over $1 million; prohibit income taxes
Initiative Measure No. IP26-645 concerns state and local taxes. This measure would repeal a 9.9% tax on annual individual income over $1,000,000; prohibit taxes measured by individual income and taxes on individual income or the receipt of individual income; and define "income." This measure would decrease funding for public K-12 education, higher education (including universities and community colleges), and human services (primarily healthcare). Should this measure be enacted into law?

Initiative Measure No. IL26-001 concerns parental rights relating to their children in public school. This measure would repeal amendments to a statute listing certain rights of parents and guardians of public-school children and re-enact the law as it was originally enacted by Initiative to the Legislature 2081. San Juan County Fire District 4 (Lopez Island) Proposition 1: fire levy restored to $0.74 per $1,000
The Board of San Juan County Fire Protection District No. 4 adopted Resolution No. 2026-02 concerning the District's regular property tax levy. This proposition would authorize a regular property tax levy of $0.74 per $1,000.00 of assessed value to be assessed in 2026 and collected in 2027 and authorize annual adjustments for the years 2027-2035 based on a limit factor of 103%. The funds would maintain District services. The maximum allowable levy in 2035 shall serve as the base for subsequent levy limitations. Should this proposition be approved?

Port of Lopez Proposition 1: port commissioner terms from 4 to 6 years
The Commission of the Port of Lopez adopted Resolution No. 2026-2 concerning the length of term of office for Port Commissioners. This proposition would increase the term of office for commissioners of the Port District from four (4) years to six (6) years. Should this proposition be approved?

Lopez Solid Waste Disposal District Proposition 1: one-year $210,000 levy for 2027
The Governing Body of the Lopez Solid Waste Disposal District adopted Resolution No. 20-2026 concerning an excess levy for the District. This Proposition would authorize the District to collect $210,000 by a levy of excess taxes upon all taxable property within the District in an amount estimated to be $.091 cents per $1,000 assessed valuation for one tax year – 2027 – for the purpose of funding operations and capital improvements of the District. Shall the proposition be approved?

Orcas Island Park & Recreation District Proposition 1: six-year levy at $0.15 per $1,000
The Board of Commissioners of the Orcas Island Park and Recreation District adopted Resolution 2026-07-09 concerning a six-year property tax levy. This proposition would impose a regular property tax levy in the amount of 15 cents per $1,000 of assessed value for six years, subject to the limiting factors in RCW Chapter 84.55 for the purpose of funding district programs and services.
