Issue 3: Photo identification to vote (constitutional amendment)
Proposed Constitutional Amendment TO REQUIRE VOTERS TO PRESENT PHOTO IDENTIFICATION IN ORDER TO VOTE Proposed by Joint Resolution of the General Assembly To enact Section 5 of Article V of the Constitution of the State of Ohio A majority yes vote is required for the adoption of Section 5. This proposed amendment would: • Require voters to present an approved form of government-issued photo identification in order to vote. • Allow state law to provide for an alternative method of verifying a voter’s identity for a voter who has a sincere religious objection to being photographed and, therefore, does not possess an approved form of government-issued photo identification. • Require that voters who do not vote in person provide an approved form of government-issued photo identification, unless the law authorizes those persons to vote by providing a signature and at least one other specified unique identifier. • Define approved forms of government-issued photo identification as an unexpired Ohio driver license or state identification card; a United States passport or passport card; or a United States military identification card, Ohio National Guard identification card, or United States Department of Veterans Affairs identification card. If approved, the amendment shall take effect immediately. A “YES” vote means approval of the amendment. A “NO” vote means disapproval of the amendment. SHALL THE AMENDMENT BE APPROVED?
Issue 8: Toledo Lucas County Public Library additional levy
An additional tax for the benefit of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library for the purpose of current expenses that the county auditor estimates will collect $34,261,921 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $105 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
Issue 13: Lucas County renewal levy for Imagination Station
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the County of Lucas for the purpose of operation and maintenance of the Imagination Station, Toledo's non-profit science center, and facility to promote the sciences and STEM education, that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,339,989 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.17 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $3 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for five years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
Issue 15: City of Oregon additional levy for senior citizens services
An additional tax for the benefit of the City of Oregon for the purpose of providing or maintaining senior citizens services or facilities that the county auditor estimates will collect $375,943 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $18 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
Issue 25: City of Oregon charter amendment prohibiting construction of data centers
Shall the Charter of the City of Oregon be amended to add Section 8 to Article XIII to read as follows? Article XIII, Section 8; Prohibition of Construction of a Data Center. (A) The construction of a data center is hereby prohibited. (B) As used in this Section, "construction" shall mean the erection of one or more buildings, infrastructure, facilities, and related activities, which include preparations and modifications for same, for a common purpose. (C) As used in this Section, "data center" shall mean one or more buildings or physical facilities or infrastructure, located on a single real property parcel or on contiguous, adjacent, or otherwise aggregated real property parcels that: (1) Are used primarily or exclusively for digital information services such as the management, storage, processing, and dissemination of electronic data and information through the use of computer systems, servers, networking equipment, and related components, including equipment cooling systems; and (2) Has an aggregate monthly demand or peak load of greater than twenty-five (25) megawatts, however derived from any energy source, or a combination thereof. (D) This Section is self-executing.
Issue 26: City of Oregon charter amendment on nonpartisan primaries
Article VIII, Section 2 - NONPARTISAN PRIMARY Shall Article VIII, Section 2 of the Charter of the City of Oregon be amended as follows: Candidates for Mayor and Council to be voted for at any regular municipal election under the provisions of this charter shall be nominated at a nonpartisan primary election to be held in odd numbered years on the date as may be provided in the general laws of the state for the holding of primary elections, if there are more than double the number of candidates to be elected to the office of Mayor or to the office of member of City Council. There shall not be a primary election if there are fewer candidates than set forth above?
Issue 27: City of Oregon charter amendment on nominating petitions
Article VIII, Section 3 - NOMINATING PROCEDURE Shall Article VIII, Section 3 of the Charter of Oregon be amended as follows: (a) Nominations for elective office of the municipality shall be made only by petition filed with the election authorities ninety (90) days prior to the date of holding the primary election. (b) The name of any qualified elector of the city shall be placed upon the election ballot for nomination as a candidate for any elective office of the municipality when there shall have been filed with the election authorities signed by not less than fifty (50) nor more than one hundred (100) electors of the city. (c) The nominating petition shall contain a statement of candidacy, which shall designate a committee to represent the candidate. Both the nominating petition and statement of candidacy shall be substantially in the form prescribed by the State of Ohio for nominating petitions generally, and shall be signed, circulated and filed in accordance with the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code?
